The rain rain rain came down down down...

It was a good day to be inside, that was for sure.

"Sorry about your trip, Unca Scrooge..."

Although Louie was very glad it at least wasn't a thunderstorm. The rain was coming down hard, but without thunder and lightning, they were okay to stand by the kitchen window and watch - it was kind of cool-looking, in a way, everything blurred by the rainfall. Even inside the manor, though, the cold of the day's weather could be felt, which was less than cool. Louie pulled his hood up over his head - it still kind of smelled like the soap Boober had washed it with, and that got a nostalgic smile out of him. Sure, that day had been stressful, but all's well that ends well, right? He pulled the hood further down his face, until it was nearly covering his eyes, and inhaled deeply.

Mokey slid in shortly after, sighing with relief to be truly warmed. Idly, she splashed her hands and tail against the water's sudsy surface.

"Red would like this place," she giggled.

"Yeah, though I don't think Scrooge would appreciate having to mop water off the ceiling." He snickered softly, then took in a breath to dip completely below the water, starting to scrub himself all over.

Mokey nodded with another little laugh. She took a slightly different approach to cleaning herself off - she submerged her tail completely, then used her belouvious as a scrub brush of sorts.

The tub was big enough for him to turn over a few times without disturbing Mokey, getting to every spot that he could. Now just- he flipped, getting his arms behind him -to try and get- nope, couldn't reach, maybe his tail? -his back- oh shoot NOPE RUNNING OUT OF AIR-

He came up with a splash and a large gasp, breathing deeply a few times.

"Oh!" Mokey blinked in surprise as Gobo popped back up, then tilted her head just a bit. "Gobo, are you okay?"

"Yeah, I just stayed under too long trying to scrub everywhere." He laughed weakly, pushing his hair back. It worked better this time.

"Can't quite get my back though. Mind giving me a hand?"

Mokey smiled softly and nodded before half-walking, half-swimming around to behind Gobo. She scooped up sudsy water in her hands and gently began to scrub his back - well, mostly gently. Some of that mud was stubborn!

Gobo smiled, closing his eyes. It was like getting a massage at the same time, and after that ordeal he certainly felt like he needed one.

After a good while of scrubbing, Mokey's expression shifted a bit - not that Gobo was looking, but her gentle smile turned into something a bit more sly as she lightly tickled his sides.

He started giggling, squirming a little. "M-m-mokey-ey-yy, tha-ahaha-t tickles-s-s!"

She pulled her hands back, though she laughed as she did so. "Of course! That's why I did it."

[gobetween]

He was still giggling, turning to face her. "Fine, but that totally leaves you open for retribution."

He brought up his hands with curled fingers, then dove them in and started tickling her sides.

"G-Gobo!" Mokey sputtered, though she grinned through her protests and half-hearted attempts to escape.

"Fair's fair, Mokey!" He tickled her a few more moments, then leaned back with a laugh.

Mokey smiled at him for a few seconds of quiet, then grabbed Gobo in a tight hug. The adrenaline and sense of strangeness were both wearing off, and - as he'd said of her earlier - she was just so happy that he was okay.

Gobo welcomed the hug, holding onto her. In that moment, the glow after the brief bit of playing around, the last bits of his worries seemed to wash away with the rest of the dirt. Alright, so it wasn't the best "welcome" to Outer Space, but they had weathered it together, and that was what counted about this, right? He'd definitely do his absolute level best to keep her safe, but it was nice knowing there was someone there to keep him safe, too.

Mokey snuggled against Gobo, nuzzling at his cheek, then drew back just a little - enough so she could comfortably speak to and look at him. "Gobo... I'm glad I came out here."

He smiled, nuzzling her a bit in return before she pulled away, and he leaned back in kind.

"I'm glad you came out, too."

She hummed contentedly to herself, and smoothed out his hair a bit - though even wet, it was somehow back to being a bit of a mess the second she moved her hands away. That got a giggle out of her.

He blinked and leaned back a bit, looking at her oddly. "What? What is it?"

Of course, it was that little movement that bobbed the cowlick at the back of his head right now.

Mokey kept giggling for a bit, before shaking her head and trailing off with a happy sigh. "Oh, nothing." She paused, before adding, "I think you look just lovely, anyway."

He gave her an odd look, then shrugged it off a moment later. Sighing lightly, he turned in the water so he could lean against her, but with arms folded on the edge of the tub as well, resting his cheek atop them.

"Mmh... I almost don't wanna get out."

Mokey nodded, putting an arm around Gobo's middle. "I know what you mean. It's so warm in here, and so nice."

Not a moment passed after Mokey's agreement before the sound of a specific sort of footsteps could be heard - and soon Louie had cracked the door open a hair and was peering inside.

"Sorry, but it stopped raining, and- Important question! Have you guys ever seen a rainbow?"

[gobetween]

He'd been drifting off a bit rather contentedly, there with Mokey, but at the sound of footsteps he glanced up, then sat up completely.

"A rainbow? Well there's Rainbow Cavern, why?"
