The rain rain rain came down down down...

It was a good day to be inside, that was for sure.

"Sorry about your trip, Unca Scrooge..."

Although Louie was very glad it at least wasn't a thunderstorm. The rain was coming down hard, but without thunder and lightning, they were okay to stand by the kitchen window and watch - it was kind of cool-looking, in a way, everything blurred by the rainfall. Even inside the manor, though, the cold of the day's weather could be felt, which was less than cool. Louie pulled his hood up over his head - it still kind of smelled like the soap Boober had washed it with, and that got a nostalgic smile out of him. Sure, that day had been stressful, but all's well that ends well, right? He pulled the hood further down his face, until it was nearly covering his eyes, and inhaled deeply.

He was still giggling, turning to face her. "Fine, but that totally leaves you open for retribution."

He brought up his hands with curled fingers, then dove them in and started tickling her sides.

"G-Gobo!" Mokey sputtered, though she grinned through her protests and half-hearted attempts to escape.

"Fair's fair, Mokey!" He tickled her a few more moments, then leaned back with a laugh.

Mokey smiled at him for a few seconds of quiet, then grabbed Gobo in a tight hug. The adrenaline and sense of strangeness were both wearing off, and - as he'd said of her earlier - she was just so happy that he was okay.

Gobo welcomed the hug, holding onto her. In that moment, the glow after the brief bit of playing around, the last bits of his worries seemed to wash away with the rest of the dirt. Alright, so it wasn't the best "welcome" to Outer Space, but they had weathered it together, and that was what counted about this, right? He'd definitely do his absolute level best to keep her safe, but it was nice knowing there was someone there to keep him safe, too.

Mokey snuggled against Gobo, nuzzling at his cheek, then drew back just a little - enough so she could comfortably speak to and look at him. "Gobo... I'm glad I came out here."

He smiled, nuzzling her a bit in return before she pulled away, and he leaned back in kind.

"I'm glad you came out, too."

She hummed contentedly to herself, and smoothed out his hair a bit - though even wet, it was somehow back to being a bit of a mess the second she moved her hands away. That got a giggle out of her.

He blinked and leaned back a bit, looking at her oddly. "What? What is it?"

Of course, it was that little movement that bobbed the cowlick at the back of his head right now.

Mokey kept giggling for a bit, before shaking her head and trailing off with a happy sigh. "Oh, nothing." She paused, before adding, "I think you look just lovely, anyway."

He gave her an odd look, then shrugged it off a moment later. Sighing lightly, he turned in the water so he could lean against her, but with arms folded on the edge of the tub as well, resting his cheek atop them.

"Mmh... I almost don't wanna get out."

Mokey nodded, putting an arm around Gobo's middle. "I know what you mean. It's so warm in here, and so nice."

Not a moment passed after Mokey's agreement before the sound of a specific sort of footsteps could be heard - and soon Louie had cracked the door open a hair and was peering inside.

"Sorry, but it stopped raining, and- Important question! Have you guys ever seen a rainbow?"

He'd been drifting off a bit rather contentedly, there with Mokey, but at the sound of footsteps he glanced up, then sat up completely.

"A rainbow? Well there's Rainbow Cavern, why?"

"Okay, but have you ever seen one in the sky?" He asked with a little bit of a smirk. "Mokey, I'm betting you definitely haven't - and you're especially going to love this. I'll go get your clothes, okay?"

Acknowledging that Jade was cute, carrying Gobo inside on his back, and openly being excited about something as simple and everyday as a rainbow... It wasn't the image Louie usually let show, but in recent months- Well, things had changed. Or maybe the fact was they hadn't changed, but returned a bit to normalcy.

Maybe Louie was finally starting to feel like being Louie - really Louie - was okay to do.

"Er, sure, Louie." He shared a confused, curious look with Mokey, then climbed out of the bath and reached for one of the towels, handing her the other one.

"He seemed excited, didn't he?" It was contagious, he was starting to feel it- like his usual self -as well.

Mokey smiled warmly. "Well, rainbows are wonderfully colorful... But you know, I don't think I've ever seen Louie quite that excited before."

"Neither have I. Nor have I ever seen a rainbow in the sky before. I didn't even know they could be in the sky."

"I didn't know, either, but it sounds so pretty... Like a big painting across the clouds."

Louie poked his head in once more, this time with his eyes shut - again, he wasn't sure it mattered, but it seemed polite - to toss their clothes into the room. "Okay, so get dressed and meet me and Unca Scrooge out on the balcony. We'll leave the door open so just call if you get lost!"

He caught their clothes, noting pleasantly they were also warm, and like the towel handed Mokey's to her. He slipped his shirt on over his head, but the vest and everything else would have to be put on on the run, because man he wanted to see this rainbow before they lost their chance!

The excitement did seem to be contagious, indeed, as Mokey slipped on her sweater and tossed her wrap over her shoulders, not bothering with the sleeves, before making a dash after Louie.

Catching wind of Louie and the Fraggles approaching, he turned back with a smile and gestured them onward.

"Here, look."

With that he stepped aside, letting them come out fully onto the balcony with him. Though the sky was still washed out from the storm, and looked to be getting on toward sunset, arcing over Duckburg was a bright, glistening rainbow. Scrooge smiled, watching Gobo look up with a soft sound of wonder.

Mokey stopped still when she laid eyes on the rainbow. It was, undoubtedly, the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen. She could see every color where the seven stripes of the arc bled together, and something about that against the blue of the sky and white of the retreating clouds was more beautiful than any rainbow visible against a cavern way. It almost made her cry - and they would have been tears of pure joy, but even that wasn't enough to express how she felt. Finally finding the ability to move again, she slowly made her way to the railed edge of the balcony and raised a hand up toward the sky.

"Why... I didn't know colors could be that bright."

Gobo stepped up beside her, bracing himself against the bottom to lift up even that much higher, locking arms with the top rail to support himself.

"It's beautiful..." He didn't even have words for the way it was making him feel right now. Somehow all his joy of exploring, all the fun he's had with his friends, even the twang of his personal inner song, fell away watching the rainbow in the sky.
