Give me one and give me two, cover me with muck and goo.
The birthday campout hadn't quite gone as planned, but it had fueled Lexi and Gobo's friendship enough that, when the idea of a do-over came up, Lexi ultimately agreed to it. After all, she'd only spent a few hours outside on Gobo's birthday. That had been over a week ago, too.
And the first day of the trip hadn't been too bad, she had to admit. They'd picked a different place this time, a spot outside the Other Duckburg where Louie had suggested there might be arrowheads to be found that she could sell for a pretty good price. Sure, the craggy landscape had left Lexi a little concerned about sleeping comfortable, but once she was in her sleeping bag that night, she'd actually been out like a light.
She slept in late the next morning, too, even through several minutes of someone calling her for help... But when the cries did get through to her mind, she awoke with a jolt.
"Gobo? Oh man!" She scrambled out of the sleeping bag and made her way toward the source. It couldn't have just been a relaxed, lucrative little trip, now could it? Great.

"You may not be much taller than me, but you're still taller than me."
no subject
"So what? Mokey's taller than both of us."

"Anyway, it's not so bad without money. 'Sides all those fun treasures you like are underground, right? Fraggles are practically made for that."
no subject
"Wait, Gobs- You're joking, right?"

"All good points," she admitted, "and it'd definitely be a lot of fun. But I'm a Duck, not a Fraggle."

After a moment, he grinned.
"'Sides, if you became one of us, I'd be your king and what fun that would be."

"Yech, it got into my mouth." He grabbed for the cloth to wipe his tongue off, though he looked up after a moment.
"Alright but what about Zen? She's got a cave in Fraggle Home, y'know."
no subject
"I know she does. You think going to see you is the only time I'm down there?" she admitted, suddenly fascinated with the hem of her hoodie sleeve. "But Gobo, I-" She cut herself off with a grunt.

"I'll think about it. I really will."
no subject
"Alright. That's all I needed to know. Oh and hey, you know I'm joking about that king stuff, you'd be able to lead yourself just as well as any other Fraggle."

"Why not talk to Zen? She'd be the most affected, at least on this side. Maybe she can help you find a solution that works for you both."

"Yeah, but we... We're different from Fraggles that way. Families like ours are tend to stay pretty close."
