Give me one and give me two, cover me with muck and goo.
The birthday campout hadn't quite gone as planned, but it had fueled Lexi and Gobo's friendship enough that, when the idea of a do-over came up, Lexi ultimately agreed to it. After all, she'd only spent a few hours outside on Gobo's birthday. That had been over a week ago, too.
And the first day of the trip hadn't been too bad, she had to admit. They'd picked a different place this time, a spot outside the Other Duckburg where Louie had suggested there might be arrowheads to be found that she could sell for a pretty good price. Sure, the craggy landscape had left Lexi a little concerned about sleeping comfortable, but once she was in her sleeping bag that night, she'd actually been out like a light.
She slept in late the next morning, too, even through several minutes of someone calling her for help... But when the cries did get through to her mind, she awoke with a jolt.
"Gobo? Oh man!" She scrambled out of the sleeping bag and made her way toward the source. It couldn't have just been a relaxed, lucrative little trip, now could it? Great.

"...No, it doesn't matter."
She uncurled from in on herself, letting her legs relax too. For a moment, she could just stare at Gobo, and then... She started to laugh. Slowly at first, but with increasing excitement.
"No, it doesn't matter!"

"There you go! Do what you wanna do, even if others may not agree."

"That's my job."

"This feels right, Gobo."

"When I've got all this gunk outta my fur in like, two days, remind me I owe you a hug."

"Yeah, no I know." Shifting back some in the bath, he waved a hand. "Can you get me a towel? I'm about ready to get out and get all of this stuff off me. You can't even begin to imagine how gross I feel right now."

Once the towel was retrieved, he unfolded it and held it out straight. Carefully stepping out, he wrapped it around his lower half and tucked it into itself, standing atop a mat on the floor for any further drip.
"I guess.. let Uncle Scrooge know the bath can be switched to regular soap and water now? I'll need help with that."

Which were, now washed and dried, Gobo's focus of complaint. He'd been given a simple shirt and an old pair of pajama pants; the shirt was fine but the pants were ill-fitting, baggy around the hips and gathered in several folds around his ankles. It wasn't quite the fit that had his focus though, as he balanced on one foot, holding the material out a bit at the thigh.
"Look I know a lot of fur's gone but do I have to-?"
The look from Scrooge left no argument, though as the old duck walked away Gobo couldn't help but sigh some. He started headed toward the main sitting room, walking a little awkwardly, like a more minor version of a dog wearing socks for the first time.
...Alright, so part of that was the fit of the Duck-sized pants, if only because he had to hold them up off his feet to walk in the first place.

Once they'd arrived there, though-
"That was really entertaining to watch."
no subject
"I'm not used to pants, alright?"
no subject
"Yes, that's what makes it funny- Don't explain the joke, Gobo."
no subject
Man, this was going to be a drag.
no subject
"Dude! How are you so bad at this?"
no subject
"I'm not used to it! Besides, it'd be better if they fit, eh? But these were all Uncle Scrooge had on hand."
no subject
"Yeah, well, I'm guessing he had two more pairs, but Unca Scrooge is a sap," she said, fondly, as she plucked at the lower hem on one of the legs.
