Everybody that I meet just seems to make my life complete
The magic of this part of Outer Space just kept surprising Mokey - particularly the transformations. While it was all impossible to understand, she had found she liked that about it best of all. It was so mystical! Not every "why" needed to be answered. As such, she wasn't hung up on why Daniel had been able to transform into a Fraggle. She had just accepted it, and of course, welcomed Daniel to visit the group in their home with open arms.
He'd been passing time with Gobo - as indicated by the music that echoed underground - but Gobo'd had something to do eventually, and left. While Mokey had originally been seeking out Daniel just to make sure he had everything he needed and was enjoying himself, a thought occurred to her on the way - now she could truly thank Daniel for his help and his courage in the poaching incident.
She followed what was now the sound of just one instrument until she found him seated on a shelf in the rock wall, strumming idly. "Oh, Daniel!" she called up with a wave.

Getting used to the instruments had been something else. Some of them were familiar, but the one he currently had in his hands- a "gourdtar" not unlike Gobo's own, in fact Gobo had even helped him make it -had taken the most effort to learn. He still didn't understand quite how it could sound like so many guitar family instruments, but that was all part and parcel of Fraggle magic, he supposed.
He was practicing a little with it, idly going between different tunes when he heard his name called. Glancing up, he then sat up with a smile, lowering the guitar.
"Oh, hey Mokey. What's up?"

"Sure, c'mon up."

"I'd like to thank you - properly thank you - for saving Gobo and the others that night."

"I was just doing my duty. I know you Fraggles don't really have a need for what I do, but out there I'm a Sentinel, a guard of sorts. So Uncle Scrooge called in to help him clean up that whole mess. It was really him, and Rapunzel, and Gobo and the others who did anything special."
no subject
"You know, special doesn't have to be so big and easy to notice. Sometimes the thing that aren't so obvious are the most special, in fact."

"What was it like?" she asked, genuinely curious. "I mean, growing up one thing to focus on so much... I can't imagine it. It's not very Fraggleish."

Putting the guitar aside, he leaned back to look up in thought, some of his hair falling away across his eyes.
"It's... interesting, really. I knew from a pretty young age that I wanted to be a Sentinel, so I started training for it as soon as I was able. They drill you pretty hard so once you're in it's kinda hard to leave that life, though it does happen. But it's worth it in the end, and I'll always have the Sentinels to fall back on. There's a central council that governs everything, though I haven't yet had the chance to go. I definitely would like to see it someday."
no subject
"Hmm, having the Sentinels to fall back on is sort of like how I view Fraggle Rock, now. It's certainly good to know you have people to go back to when you need them, isn't it? And if you want to see the central council, well, I think you should!"
no subject
"Oh believe me, if I can manage it, I definitely want to go. Especially now that I've met Uncle Scrooge and his family, and live in Birthpointe as much as I do in Duckburg. It's made travel that much easier."

"What's so funny, Mokey?"

"Okay, now I know why I thought his accent noteworthy." He still giggled a bit some himself, as he spoke. "A lot of people talk like that where I come from."

He reached into a pocket and pulled out his phone, unlocking it and opening up the map. Leaning over a little, he turned it so they both could see. "Here, this is where we are, underneath Duckburg. And," he paused to punch in coordinates, "aaaaalllll the way over there is where I'm from." Hitting another button, he had the map draw a line between the two of them, and even if the map itself wouldn't give her a sense of scale, the travel time- in the amount of several days -certainly would.
no subject
"But we're not there! I thought you could only see where you are with the phone... Amazing. I see what you mean though. Walking for that many days would be very tiring- What if we took another plane?"
And maybe she just wanted to get up in a plane again.
no subject
"A plane? Yeah, a plane would definitely get us there in a few hours, maybe only a couple days at the most."

"If there's anywhere he can get to, it's East Hollow."
