[ Around that time the front door opened and Donald stepped into the foyer, humming to himself and unable to stop smiling. Not that he wanted to, after such a nice night out with Daisy. ] Hello! I'm home! [ He doesn't really expect anyone to answer him, but he doesn't mind so much as he walks further into the mansion to head to the backyard and for his boathouse. On the way, though, he notices Louie seated at the table. He's a little puzzled why his green-wearing nephew was by himself, but his good mood dulled his normal parental concern somewhat. ] Hey, Louie.

[He looks up at Donald, but only for a moment.]

Hey, Uncle Donald. How was your date?

[ There's a part of him that notes Louie's tone, but the worry that he'd normally feel is drowned out by the question, and he can't help a broad grin. ] It was great! We were just walking around talking, but it was so nice out... [ Might want to say something if you don't wanna hear two hours of details. ]

Yeah, cool, great.

[He's glad his uncle's happy, but... It's just weird.]

[ The short response finally seems to sober up his mood a bit, and for the first time really takes in what he's seeing. Most notably the still mostly full plate sitting on the table in front of Louie. ] Everything okay? [ He walks over, leaning a bit against the table with one hand as the other reaches to brush his nephew's forehead. ] You feelin' alright?

[He grunts and sighs, feeling even more foolish now that Donald's noticed something's up. It's just so dumb to be bothered by this!]

Yeah, I'm fine...

[ Not feeling any extra warmth, Donald runs his hand up and through Louie's hair instead. ] You sure? It looks like you haven't eaten anything. [ He could be wrong, and this could really just be seconds that Louie is just realizing he's too full for, but he somehow doesn't think that's the case. Now that he's paying more attention, his uncle senses were telling him that something is amiss. ]

Ye-

[He starts to lie, but that distinctly paternal gesture has softened him. Darn it. Louie crosses his arms over his chest.]

...You're around less now. It's weird.

[ The comment surprises him a little, and at first he isn't sure how to respond. After another moment he lets his hand drop to the table, and he takes a seat in the chair next to Louie's. ] 'cuz I'm dating Daisy? Does...it bother you that I'm dating her? [ He really likes Daisy, he honestly does. But if he had to choose between her and his family...well, it isn't an easy choice to make, but he'd do it if it came down to it. ]
