Pisces, Virgo rising is a very good sign: Strong and kind, and the little boy is mine

Early labor had begun while the parents-to-be were visiting the Manor, and - as with every other stage of the pregnancy - Mokey was delighted. Though the discomfort moving into pain was there, even that left her awed. Gobo was... Less awed, worrying over the midwife and the others getting there, but Mokey was sure things were going to go just fine - better than "just fine," in fact.

After about an hour of light contractions, though, she started to feel restless. She could move around without the midwife, surely... And a glance out the window told her what she needed. In typically-Mokey, absent-minded fashion, she started making her way to the door, murmuring something about being back soon to Gobo, who Scrooge was trying to reassure at that exact moment.

Mokey hummed in contentment, nodding as she looked back down to the baby boy. "I can't believe you did all that... Or rather, I can, I just..." She sniffed, fighting back a new wave of tears - hormones and adoration coming to a head. "Thank you."

He kissed her face gently and smiled. "You needed me, and the baby needed me. I wouldn't be anywhere else."

There was more to it than just that, of course. The deep-seated love for her and for both of them. Honestly if he had to do it all over again, even considering the whole panic of it all, he reasoned he would.

She nodded, leaning against him and crying. "I'm okay," she assured him. "I just... Oh my goodness." She kissed the end of his snout, then tilted her head back a moment to take in a deep, steadying breath. "Oh my goodness."

He kissed her and nuzzled under her chin, humming softly in his throat. "I know, Mokey, it's alright..." A little sound caught his attention and he looked down as the baby yaaaawwwned, then blinked up at him with those big eyes. He smiled, feeling himself get choked up again, and lightly touched the tip of his little snout.

Mokey gasped softly at the yawn, and took a shaky breath in as the baby looked to Gobo. Oh, this was so- So perfect! Things hadn't gone to plan, no, but honestly... Nothing had in her life since she'd met Gobo and the rest - and that was more than okay.

"Our little boy... Look at him."

"I know. I can't believe it." He nuzzled her softly, one arm tight and lovingly around her shoulders. For a while he was quiet, enjoying this moment with- the two of them. But, it couldn't last. Their friends were probably beating down Scrooge's doors to want to see the baby, and Gobo knew that now that he was finally here, that it was just beginning. First meal, first clothes, first... everything started from this very moment onward.

"Ready to go to the others, Mokey?"

"Let's go introduce him," Mokey said in way of agreeing. "You're going to meet more family, my dear one," she then told the baby, smiling down at him. "They're going to think the world of you."

"They really, really are." He smiled, then scooted back a bit and stood up. For a moment he was wondering how to get them inside. Surely Mokey wouldn't be up to walking, right? But he wasn't sure he could carry them both, nor would he even try with the little infant. Maybe he could bring their friends out here...?

Thankfully, someone had been keeping an eye out, and when he saw them seeming to get ready to come inside, he stepped out of the manor and headed their way, calling out when he got close enough. Coming around to Mokey's other side, he smiled at them.

"Need a hand comin' in?" He had a hand on Mokey's shoulder and looked down, leaning a bit. "Oh, he's beautiful. A perfect wee little bairn."

Mokey smiled warmly up at Scrooge. "Thank you, Uncle Scrooge. And yes, that would be so kind," she whispered, then paused a beat before blinking and asking with a giggle, "What's a bairn?"

He laughed lightly at that. "An auld Scottish word. It means 'child.'" Kneeling, he rested one arm across Mokey's back, and carefully slid the other in behind her knees. "And, if you're anythin' like Jinji was when she laid our eggs," there was a bit of effort in his voice as he picked her up, standing up with ease, "you won't want to walk for a bit. So, junior gets the McDuck Express." A light snicker as he started up the yard.

He stepped out of the way, watching with a smile on his face. Scooping up the vest, he also took a moment to retrieve his things, even the broken ones, and then rushed to catch up with them.

Mokey giggled at the explanation, and cozied up in the arms of... Well, of family, where she was perfectly comfortable and happy to focus on the baby - and occasionally glance down at Gobo - with a loving smile. It was a quiet and peaceful "ride" on the Expressway...

...Until they got inside the front door. While the others were quiet enough not to disturb the baby, they were certainly as high-energy as ever, rushing over to hug Gobo, to try and get a peek of the baby, and whisper-calling out their congratulations.

One certain Fraggle managed to work her way to the front, and stood on her toes to get a better peek at the baby. "Oh wow...!" Red breathed, her eyes wide with awe. "Look at the little guy!"
