And if the dark clouds start to swirl, don't fear, don't shed a tear...
While Amy and Fluttershy weren't close friends, Fluttershy had helped Amy out enough during the latter's time in Birchpointe that there was a bond there. And while Amy may have settled on the West Coast a couple of years ago, they'd kept in touch. It had been a while since Amy had hear from Fluttershy, though, and while Amy wasn't a worrier by nature, she couldn't help feeling a bit concerned - and certainly curious to know what was up.
She'd taken the long bus ride out to Birchponte, then made her way to the forest outside city limits. Even though she'd been to Fluttershy's home before, and thus was able to get there again, it took her some searching to get there - but finally, she did. She rapped her claws against the door, calling out as she did so, "Yo, 'Shy! It's Amy, what's up?"

"Hi, Amy!" she greeting; though she wore a bright smile, there certain was an air of something else there. "It's been a while! How are you? Do you want to come in?"

As they entered the house, which was somehow much larger on the inside than the outside would suggest, there were little critters running or flying around, and a few of the larger creatures passing by as they went from one room to another.

Sure, the set-up wouldn't be particularly intensive, but still...

"I'd offer to help, but I have to get things taken care of here."

That night's party was being held at someone's lake house on the edge of the city, although with the spacious grounds, very few people were inside. By the time nine o'clock rolled around, set-up was done, and things were in full swing.
Amy was certainly enjoying herself. With her long hair tied back in a ponytail - though her bangs still fell over one eye - she sat at the edge of the lake, boots off and feet in the water, calling out to some friends who were taking a swim.

"Y-Yeah...though there are a lot more people here than I expected."
