[The more Bede committed to the Ballonlea Gym, the more things from his life before Opal had found him just didn't fit. He'd discarded the watch Chairman Rose had given him almost immediately, but objects were easy to decide to let go of, all things considered. Friends, the only ones he really had, weren't something to be cast aside.
That said, there was no denying that Duosion and Gothorita no longer fit on his active team of Pokemon. Bede wasn't entirely sure it was fair to keep them around when they'd have no chance to grow from battle and reach their full potential... And he'd considered donating them to the minor league Psychic Gym, but simply couldn't bear to. So he spent time with them when he could, and honestly, there were enough wild Pokemon in the nearby Glimwood Tangle to train against. Some just weren't ideal opponents for Psychic types.
A wild Sinistea had gotten the better of his Gothorita, and now Bede had her cradled in his arms as he rushed to the Pokemon Center. Anyone who got in the way, he simply pushed past-- Perhaps a bit rougher than necessary; taking out his frustrations with himself for not running away from the fight on passersby.]

The doors barely slide closed behind Bede before they open again, and Amy steps inside. Seeing the line, though, she makes a low whistle. ]
Wow...looks like a lot of people were having trouble, huh?
[ The Eevee on her shoulder chirps with a curious tip of its head. ]

It seems so. The timing couldn't be worse.
[Of course, the Gym does have a spot for healing Pokemon, to be used by Opal and himself, as well as the gym trainers. Even challengers have been given access in emergencies, but Bede doesn't want Opal to know this happened. He would hate to appear weak or unworthy.
Old habits do die hard.]

As she glances at Bede, though, she realizes that he wasn't so lucky. Thinking for a moment, she then reaches into her bag and pulls out a potion. ]
Here. It's just a regular potion so it might not do much. But it should at least be enough to help your Pokemon recover enough for the wait.

Thank you.
[The words come through gritted teeth as he takes the potion just a tad to briskly, but he truly does mean it.]

Sure, no problem.
[ She glances back towards the line in front of the counter, then turns and starts to go. ] Good luck.
