Bootleg VR TDM Time!
[Bruno is still trying to figure all this out a week later, but he's also kind of enjoying himself? It's not the best place, and he misses his family. But deep down, he also feels relief to be here, traveling on his own, and not back in Casita where there's all those people, and he loves them, but everyone's trying to work on the family dynamic and themselves and they're all sharing one bathroom on top of that; every moment has the potential to get very awkward in the blink of an eye. Bruno? He's an introvert. Always has been.
Which is why this is his first time addressing the community over the Pokegear. Some will no doubt recognize his location as Violet City. Or, rather, very nearby: Bruno is sitting on the edge of Slowpoke Well. This is probably a bold move for someone who could catch a Pokeball he threw to himself! But so far, so good. A Silicobra is nestled beside him, half-awake, and a Galarian Slowpoke is lying across his lap.]
Buenas tardes, everyone. I'm, uh, Bruno Madrigal. This is only for us guys who don't belong here, right? I've met a couple of you on the way to this town. Probably not that many overall, though. [He pauses, thoughtful.] Well, I don't know, how many of us are there?
[This tech is 100% new to him. He is genuinely expecting an immediate response that of course doesn't come. So he shrugs.]
Eh, it doesn't matter, really. ...Right, introductions. This is Tiago. [As he says that, he juts his head in Silicobra's direction.] And this guy joined us today. [With a little difficulty, this scraggly wisp of a man picks up Slowpoke and turns it to face the camera. Then, in a goofy and deep voice, he speaks as the Pokemon.]
Hello, I'm Enrique! I was sleeping next to the well and Bruno tripped over me! He almost fell into the well, isn't that silly? Oh, but don't worry, everyone's okay now.
[That's as long as Bruno can comfortably hold up nearly 80 pounds of Pokemon, so he sets Slowpoke back down in his lap with a soft, rather awkward chuckle.]
That was just a little-- Well, nevermind, I really only wanted to introduce myself and my team. So... Thanks for listening.

So when he responds with his own video
after turning the translator function off for now, it's in Spanish. Mildly halting Spanish, but Spanish all the same.]As far as I've been able to tell, there's a lot of us here. And it's a good thing you didn't fall in the well, or it might've been minus one.
no subject
Yeah, that would've been a bit of a bummer for me. Have you been here long?
no subject
Only a couple weeks, not nearly as long as some of the others here. Still getting used to everything myself.
[Oh but, introductions he could do! So he's gonna pick the Gear up and move it nearby; looks like he's sitting by a stream somewhere. What he shows on camera is a Kangaskhan, making sure her baby is getting some good mouthfuls of water.]
This is Beauchamp. [He set the Gear back down where it'd been.] And I'm Daniel Kanegem.

[Then Daniel introduces his partner - partners? Bruno's not sure how that works with some Pokemon - and his eyes widen.]
Woah, that's one tough-looking Pokemon.
no subject
Yeah! Yeah, she is. Took a long time just for her to warm up to me, but after seeing what she does to opponent Pokemon I'm glad she's on my side.
no subject
I'm just hoping I don't find one in the wild any time soon, huh?

True, I guess paying attention goes a long way in a place like this.
[Says the man who tripped over a Pokemon and almost fell down a well.]
Um, so can I ask where you learned Spanish?
[After all, Daniel's accent is not one Bruno's at all familiar with. Though he's still getting by with the language itself.]

So, being a Sentinel is your job? I'm not... I don't know what that means, I gotta be honest.
But, hey, don't worry about your Spanish. I mean, I can understand you just fine.
no subject
[Bruno would have to be from his world to know that one.]
Sentinels are basically trained warriors. We protect others from the dangerous monsters that live in the shadows of my world.

[He can't help thinking of Luisa, and how hard it was for her to have so much work on her shoulders. At least her jobs were never life and death, as far as Bruno's gathered.]
But, uh... Well, hey! I guess compared to monsters that need to be fought by warriors, Pokemon probably aren't that big a deal for you.
no subject
[For just a moment there, there's a weight in his eyes, but then he blinks and it's gone.]
You're right, though! They're pretty cool, Pokemon. Seeing them around kinda makes me feel like home. [Beat] Oh, not- not the monsters part, but there's a lot of magic, and magical animals, around my world.
no subject
There's a lot of magic where you're from? Like, how so?
Because magic as I'm used to it? Not a common thing.

[Well, Bruno's not sure what he thinks. In his family's situation, everyone having magic would probably make life a lot easier... But there'd be drawbacks, of course, and for him-- There'd still be visions, so. Overall, though, it just seems-]
Really hectic. Although Guldeor? Those sound cool. A lot of the time, animals are little people anyway, in a way. At least, that's what I've found.

[Which also makes him one, but he's avoiding remark on that at the moment.]
