The birthday campout hadn't quite gone as planned, but it had fueled Lexi and Gobo's friendship enough that, when the idea of a do-over came up, Lexi ultimately agreed to it. After all, she'd only spent a few hours outside on Gobo's birthday. That had been over a week ago, too.

And the first day of the trip hadn't been too bad, she had to admit. They'd picked a different place this time, a spot outside the Other Duckburg where Louie had suggested there might be arrowheads to be found that she could sell for a pretty good price. Sure, the craggy landscape had left Lexi a little concerned about sleeping comfortable, but once she was in her sleeping bag that night, she'd actually been out like a light.

She slept in late the next morning, too, even through several minutes of someone calling her for help... But when the cries did get through to her mind, she awoke with a jolt.

"Gobo? Oh man!" She scrambled out of the sleeping bag and made her way toward the source. It couldn't have just been a relaxed, lucrative little trip, now could it? Great.

"Wait, keep doing that," Lexi said, grinning. An idea had struck, and she walked around to his side, and mimicked the pinch-and-pull puppetry act with one of his shirt sleeves.

He watched her curiously, then laughed again, letting his arm move with the sleeve.

"Okay, this actually is kinda fun. I can see why this is keeping you entertained."

"Hey, sometimes it doesn't take very much for a Fraggle." And, before she can even say anything, he flashed her a snarky grin. "Most times it doesn't take much."

Dang, he beat her to it.

"No, most times it does not," she agreed with a smug smirk, before releasing his arm. "Okay, I'm getting tired now."

He laughed again, and once she released him he leaned back against the couch, settling so he was sitting a little lower down.

"One of these days," he started as he folded his hands together over his stomach, "we're going to actually manage to have a trip between the two of us."

A blink, then he glanced over. "Which kinda reminds me, I think Mokey caught that cold I had. She was feeling a little punky the other morning."

She patted his shoulder a bit. "Hey, we did know that might happen. I'm sure she'll be fine in a few days, though."

"Yeah, I know." He half-shrugged, then smiled at her. "It'll be alright, we're keeping an eye on her. Though of course, Boober's trying to instigate a surgical mask rule, now."

"Good, keep up that - the looking after her, I mean. I think Boober might be overreacting, though."

Which... Shocker, but Lexi still believed only a monster would make fun of Boober.

"Boober as a general rule is overreacting. At least it's better than when he tried to instigate that same rule at the Rock. I don't even remember when that was, just that he tried."

Okay, no, she couldn't help laughing then. Oh well, she was the evil triplet, after all.

"I'm sure that went over so well."

He laughed as well. "About as well as a pet Poison Cackler."

Lexi gave an amused snort, nodding.

"I mean, with how many Fraggles there are down at the rock, I'm sure someone's always sick. So it's not a bad idea! But... Well, you know."

"Oh yeah, someone was always sick. You should've seen when that Pebble Pox epidemic went through, it even got the Doozers."

"Sounds like a blast. I'm sure the Doozers kept working, though."

He snorted some. "Probably? I was still sick at the time, plus Wembley and Boober, so I only kinda heard about it afterward from Wrench."

"Man, I never actually thought of Boober getting sick, just worrying about it - well, and taking care of the rest of you guys... Poor guy. Poor guy for Wembley, too."

Wait a second, someone was missing there... Good to have a best friend, huh?

Not that he noticed, since it went uncommented. Not that he deserved sympathy that day anyway... "Yeah, Boober caught it from Wembley. He... handled it about as well as you can imagine Boober would."

Lexi quirked a brow, surprised Boober had stuck around long enough when he one of the group was sick to catch it from them, now that she thought about it. Maybe she'd ask him next time they were talking...

"So, is Pebble Pox as much like Chicken Pox as it sounds?"

"Fever and little red itchy spots? Yes, and you know what." He sat up, giving her a look. "Which one has the dumber name? Chicken Pox, for who knows why it's called that, or Pebble Pox, because that's what the spots look like, little pebbles on the skin?"

Lexi blinked, briefly taken aback, then shrugged. "Chicken Pox is worse, why?"

"Thank you!" He threw his hands up in the air, then turned back to her. "Perdita and I argued about that once, which one had the dumber name, and she said it was Pebble Pox. It's the only one that makes sense!"

"Well, yeah, of course she did. Perdita would argue with a plant. I think she just enjoys that stuff."

He snorted somewhat indignantly. "Yeah, you're right about that one. I was even sick at the time, though not with Pebble Pox, and she still wanted to argue."

It had actually been a nice bit of normalcy at a pretty bad time, but he'd bite off his tongue before he admitted that right now.

"Oh yeah? Was that when she found you during the water issues?" Lexi asked, tilting her head to the side.
