Gobo stopped, daring to hope. Wembley was only excited like that when something really important had happened. He turned to look, and sharply gasped when he saw what he was pointing at.
"Wembley! Great, you did it!" Oh he could kiss him-! Er. Out of elation, of course. Turning in the path, he made a way over to the tree, leading Wembley to it and inside. Though it was out in the rest of the forest, the hollow was warm compared to the outer, and it was a total windbreak no matter how much the storm beat against it. Gobo managed a few steps in before he all but collapsed, catching himself on the wall. He hung there a moment, then bent one leg under him and then the other, falling into a seat like a marionette with clipped strings.
"Alright. We'll be okay, we'll stay here until morning, and then I'll scout out and try to find our way home."
