The whole time the two of them had been interacting, he'd continued petting the dog, though he studied his face at the same time. There was something he couldn't put his finger on! A familiarity about those eyes- and he was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to forget red eyes -and the way the fur was scruffed around the face in particular, and that smile, toothy though it was. People in this world had transformations, this he knew from Bridge, so it could be anyone. Though Bridge pinged something else...

Then he sucked in a breath and, rather abruptly, exclaimed, "It's Daniel!!" When they both JUMPED, he flashed a sheepish smile. "...Sorry." Then a throat clear, and he scruffled the space between the dog's ears.

"This is Daniel. He's Bridge and Rapunzel's boyfriend, though I didn't know he could do this too." Looking at the hairy monster, he smiled. "Am I right?"
