[Varian was happy to not be traveling alone anymore. Mirabel and her sister had invited him to come along with them after prom - where he'd apparently missed some fiasco with legendary bird Pokemon, incidentally. You missed a lot chasing a Kecleon through a dense forest... But at least Varian had gotten his goggles back, and a new teammate, too. And now that Pascal was one of his Pokemon, it was time for a bit of training.]
